Break Through
Entering into an Intimate Prayer Relationship with God
Beginning Sunday, January 4, 2015
The prophet Hosea says these words, "Sow for yourselves righteousness, reap the fruit of unfailing love, and break up your unplowed ground; for it is time to seek the LORD, until he comes and showers righteousness on you. (Hos. 10:12)
Sowing or planting is a great thing to do early in a new year. With anticipation we wait until the time to reap or harvest comes later in the year. Our prayer relationship with God can be just like that. We sow prayers and hope to reap God's answer or involvement in our lives. But if you notice in this verse there is something else that often has to happen first. We break up any unplowed ground in our life. This must happen before any sowing or reaping can occur. This can be challenging.
Here is how the series will flow:
Jan 4 - Partnership - Partnering with God in prayer
Jan 11 - Passion - Prayer must become a passion for us
Jan 18 - Power - God's power in prayer is life-changing
Jan 25 - Persistence - Persisting in prayer no matter what
Join us in January as we Break Through the unplowed ground of our lives and cultivate a life-changing prayer relationship with God!
