Christmas Teaching Series!

Beginning Sunday, December 4 @ 10:30 a.m.

Children love Christmas! It's easy to see why! Presents, family, great food, time off school. But there is another reason children love Christmas...it has some mystery and wonder about it. Lighted trees, decorated and shining! Houses and yards shimmering with the season! How does Santa Claus get down that chimney? Do reindeer really fly? Where did this stocking full of candy and fun come from? How did those presents get under the tree?

Above all else, children are reminded of the reason and purpose of the Christmas celebration. There's even more mysterry and wonder in this! A baby born in a manger. People seeing stars and hearing angels sing about this new-born baby. People traveling from afar to see this coming King. They can relate to a baby. They feel wonder, excitement and anticipation that this baby may have some impact on their lives.

And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. [9] An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. [10] But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. [11] Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ* the Lord. [12] This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”[13] Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,[14] “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests.” (Luke 2:8-14)

All of this produces emotions and reactions that make Christmas through the eyes of a child something very special indeed!

Christmas is one of those times we long to be a child again. We know this isn't literally possible, but it is possible to see Christmas through their eyes! WE INVITE YOU TO DO JUST THAT THIS CHRISTMAS! Experience wonder, fun, hope and joy!

Merry Christmas from Town Center Church!

November Teaching Series!

Beginning Sunday, November 6 @ 10:30a

Jesus spoke these challenging and even ominous words in Matthew 7:13-14...

“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it."

Here is the reality:  We all must choose which gate, which road, which path we will walk through this life.  Hopefully we choose one that leads to eternal life!

But that choice is not a one time, one moment choice.

We choose our way each day with every small choice we make.  For example, will we choose...

Purpose or Comfort?
Trust or Control?
Commitment or Regret?
Important or Urgent?

Which of these would you choose?

Join us for this important series as we look at just a few of the choices we can make that lead to LIFE!

Jesus said that He came so that we could have life in all of its fullness!

Finish this sentence:  I choose...

GROW - Mission & Vision 2017

Beginning Sunday, October, 2 - 10:30a

Did you know that all living things have a life cycle?

Whether plant, animal or human being, we all have a beginning, a middle and an end.

Jesus often used the symbolism of a plant, tree or vine to help us understand our relationship to Him. For example, He said, "“I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing." (John 15:5)

The life cycle for most trees or plants looks something like this:
- Planted
- Rooted
- Branching Out
- Dying to Multiply

We believe this is one powerful way to think about how Jesus is calling His people to live in this world: Be planted - Become rooted - Branch out - Sacrifice so multiplication can happen.

Sunday, October 2 we will share a fresh mission and vision with Town Center Church that we believe will point us toward the preferred future that God has for us and for the community of Mooresville!

We hope you will be a part of this new thing that God is about to spring up in Mooresville!

Not Just Black or White

  • Politics
  • Refugees
  • Religion
  • Race

Beginning August 14 - 10:30 a.m.

POLITICS - REFUGEES - RELIGION - RACE

All of these are in the headlines almost daily. You will find people on all sides of each issue inside and outside of churches.

Politics: Who has God's vote?
Refugees: Who would Jesus let in?
Religion: What is religion?
Race: Which lives matter?

Galatians 3:28 says, "There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus."

This verse is communicating that humans sometimes divide over issues and lines that God doesn't recognize or see. Things that humans see as black or white may not be either one.

Join us for this important series as we call all followers of Jesus to rise above the divisions of politics, the refugee crisis, religion and race. Help us act on the call of God to set ourselves apart from the world in how we respond during these cultural crisis times.

Summer Teaching Series!

Beginning Sunday, June 5 @ 10:30 a.m.

Many years ago, in Old Testament times, God told His people, "You shall have no other gods before me". This was the first of the 10 Commandments. It was the first because God knew that the only way He could save them and reconcile them was for them to remain in relationship with Him.

Over the next 1400 years here's how the relationship between God and His people went...
...They began to worship other gods and God would allow suffering and hardship to come upon them
...They would return to God and He would forgive them
...They would again begin to worship other gods and God would allow suffering and hardship to come upon them
...They would return to God and He would forgive them

And it pretty much went that way until, at just the right time, God sent His Son, Jesus. This changed everything! He offered forgiveness once and for all, for all people, for all time! All people had to do was believe and follow Him.

But one thing about humanity didn't change...

...We still kept giving in to the temptation to worship other gods...to worship idols instead of the One, True God. And people are still worshipping idols today, in all parts of the world, maybe even in your home!

Join us this summer as we look at some of the gods...idols...that God must battle in order to win our hearts and lives.

Easter Teaching Series

Beginning Sunday, March 6 - 9am & 11am

There have been many events in human history that changed our world or some portion of it significantly...World Wars, Natural Disasters, Disease, Political Decisions, just to name a few.

There have been very few events in human history that we could say "changed everything". Many would be hard-pressed to identify the one event that most changed our world.

At Town Center Church we believe identifying the one event that most changed "everything" for all humanity and all creation is not difficult. In fact, we believe that there really was only one event...really, One Person, that changed everything for everyone both now and for eternity.

We believe the life, death and resurrection of Jesus...the Son of God...changed everything. Or better said, created the possibility of changing everything for everyone.

We hope you will join us this Easter season as we look at how Jesus' life, death and resurrection changed everything for...
...Our Life
...Our Death
...Our Eternity

Our prayer is that you will meet Jesus, respond to His invitation, and declare along with us..."This Changes Everything"!
